Singer Whitney Houston is said to have left her fans angry and walking out on her at her Acer Arena concert in Sydney. According to the Daily Telegraph, what had started out as a great show on February 24, turned sour after Houston, 46, returned to the stage following a 13-minute costume change.

Her acoustic set of old favourites unfortunately could not hide the very obvious problems with her voice, with the strain and coughs that punctuated the Brisbane show coming back. By the time she got to the gospel section of the show a steady stream of disappointed, saddened and angry fans started streaming out the doors. “Some of it’s been beautiful and some it is just horrible,” News.com.au

- She should prepare better for the show! People are paying to see her perform!

STARBUCK’S GINGERBREAD LATTE RECIPE

A tasty sip for the cold cruel nights you can make at home.

3 cups of milk
3 Tbsp. Starbucks Gingerbread syrup or your fav syrup
Two shots of starbucks Espresso Pods
Pinch of Ground Nutmeg

To make Gingerbread Latte:

1. Steam milk with Starbucks Barista Athena or your favourite barista / steamer.
2. Place Gingerbread Syrup in preheated coffee mug.
3. Brew single shot of espresso, using pre-measured Starbucks Espresso Pod, and pour immediately.
4. Top with steamed milk and foam.
5. Garnish foam with a light dusting of nutmeg, crushed gingerbread cookies or a light touch of cinnamon sugar.

Decorative items: Gumdrops, Life Savers, Smarties, jujubes, licorice all sorts and mini-Shredded Wheat squares (for roofing) make excellent house decorations. There are plenty more possibilities — go wild and have fun!

Set in the 1950’s, the plot involves the investigation of a murderess at a criminally insane asylum who has disappeared. The catch? It’s on a remote island.

‘Shutter Island’ a truly creepy thriller. Paramount Picture’s new psychological thriller “Shutter Island” arrived in theaters today and was greeted by exceptionally positive reviews from top movie critics in the industry. The motion pictures, directed by Martin Scorsese (“Goodfellas”, ”The Departed”, Casino” and “Gangs of New York”) stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, Ben Kingsley, Michelle Williams, Patricia Clarkson and Max von Sydow.

One of my favorite critics, Owen Gleiberman over at Entertainment Weekly, gave the film a solid B stating, “The movie does payoff, though. And it works, shiveringly well.”. Well, if I were to judge the film merely on the various previews I’ve seen for the movie, I’d have to say I agree.

Elton John has sparked a storm of internet protest after suggesting Jesus Christ was gay in a new online interview.

The Rocket Man has been targeted by outraged bloggers and ‘tweeters’ over comments he made to Parade.com as part of an article which will appear in the website’s sister weekend magazine.

In the article, the Brit says, “I think Jesus was a compassionate, super-intelligent gay man who understood human problems.

His remarks have led to a wave of attacks from online critics.

One writes, “John is now the authority on Christ? Jesus Christ was as gay as Saddam Hussein is alive.”

And another blogger tells Fox News’ 411 blog, “I will never listen to this man’s music again.  He should not speak on things he knows nothing about.

- Certainly not my cuppa tea. People are obnoxious. People are angry.

Will his fall from corporate grace, his descent from the family-man pedestal, take his game down, too? Can he accept his altered celebrity, shutting out the chaos and scorn that will follow him for at least a year after he returns to work?

Woods has spent the bulk of his life, and all of his professional years, in a bubble of adulation. From the most ill-mannered galleries, he could count on we-are-not-worthy bows and “You the man” salutations. He took for granted that his colleagues on the PGA Tour would behave like nobles in a Tudor court, genuflecting to a king whose power left them richer than they could have imagined and more intimidated than they cared to admit.

Now, those fellow golfers routinely speak of him with either pity or disdain.

He can expect fans to crowd the ropes more than ever, observing golf decorum less than ever. Many will support him more passionately now, disgusted by the tabloid incursion into their beloved game. But how many will be able to stifle laughter if another strip joint repeats the stunt from two weeks ago, flying a banner over a tournament that says: “We miss you, Tiger”?

Years ago, Earl Woods would loudly jingle coins in his pocket while his young son played the game, trying to condition him to block distraction. Yet as a pro, Tiger has been notoriously prickly about crowd noise. The frustration was understandable, but he often overreacted and allowed caddie Stevie Williams to menace overzealous fans, acting as his control-freak proxy.

If Woods found it hard to ignore the noise of idolatry, how will his pride react to audible ridicule? Is he prepared to cope with the change?

He has had to reconstruct his swing several times, accommodating stressed body parts, but he has never deliberately altered his attitude as a competitor. His mind has always been his chief asset.

But it appeared to falter last year, during his comeback from a knee injury that sidelined him after the 2008 U.S. Open. Physically, he looked fine, cleaning up in regular Tour events. But he became more prone to immature emotional outbursts, and at the majors, he wasn’t himself at all. His fade at the end of the PGA Championship seemed like a shocking development in the Tiger Woods story line until … the car accident on Thanksgiving weekend, the seedy parade of mistresses, the paparazzi obsession with his wife, the sponsors on the run, the sex-addiction reports, the link to a Canadian doctor accused of dealing growth hormone.

Athletes have been known to regain control of scandal-scarred careers through either an angry determination to prove critics wrong or a full embrace of life below the pedestal. The anger option doesn’t really suit golf, although Woods’ stiff, pained delivery on Friday suggested an internal compass pointing in that direction. Despite 45 days in a therapeutic clinic, acceptance of a reduced stature might be miles away.

Even as he discussed Buddhism on Friday, Woods seemed to be recrafting his brand, rather than letting go of a craving to be seen a certain way. Less than five minutes into the statement, he touted his charitable foundation, ostensibly to assure that his indiscretions wouldn’t bring it down. The passage could have come from an infomercial.

The most powerful part of the statement was what he didn’t say: when he would return to golf. If he stays out through the Masters, Woods will have put real weight behind his vow of atonement, sparing himself some of the mockery he can expect if he “recovers” in time to play all of the majors.

- He’s still not out of the woods…….yet!

With 17 more names being added into the semifinal list, contest for “Idol” champion has become more stronger. A number of early favorites have advanced into the last 24 including Andrew Garcia, Crystal Bowersox, Katie Stevens, Ashley Rodriguez and Haeley Vaughn.

Last night’s show was a bit more quick phased than Tuesday’s torturing two hours. First woman singer who ventured into the final round on last night’s show was Orlando’s Janell Wheeler. Janell’s Hollywood round witnessed both ups and downs as she presented Estelle’s “American Boy” to a blown take of Taylor Swift’s “Love Story.” 

Chicago rocker Bowersox attracted both a bid and nailing for her take on Crow”s “If It Makes You Happy” during Hollywood week.  Bowersox showed photo of her young son, Tony saying that, “I feel like I can surprise all of you … I’m very glad I came.”

Katie Stevens, one of the teenagers of this “Idol” followed. Stevens, who presented the tale of her Alzheimer’s-stricken grandmother, shined in the Hollywood with her take on Stevie Wonder’s “For Once in My Life.” 

Anyway, it is public knowledge that Maddy auditioned in Boston and made it to Hollywood. What’s not public knowledge yet is what happened there. I have no way of knowing whether any footage of her in Hollywood will make it onto the show, but in case you are watching, the Hollywood episodes are just around the corner.

I will say that no matter what happened, Maddy has made us very proud - Her voice is one of a kind :)
