I just noticed your question at the end of the post about Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge.

The royals dont actually take personal post of course – their staff usually answer all mail – but you can be sure that you would get a thank you they are very good at that.

It really matters not, where you address post to Catherine – it will usually go to ‘the office’ which is how the royal family refer to Buckingham Palace ( Buckingham Palace, London SW1A 1AA) General telephone enquiries (+44) 02079304832 …so yes you could address it there. Alternatively the London home of Prince William and the Duchess iof Cambridge is at present Clarence House. The address is Clarence House, London, SW1A 1BA General Phone Enquiries the same as that for Buckingham Palace.

Any letter should be addressed inside and out to HRH The Duchess of Cambridge, and if addressing her in a letter, you would never say ‘you’ – you would refer to her all the time either as ‘your Royal Highness’ or ‘Ma’am’, for example, ‘I would be so pleased if your Royal Highness would accept’….etc.

The correct way to end the letter is in the style

‘Yours most respectfully’….

amd then your signature.
